Random speaking turns for meetings
A short check-in works best when everyone knows how turns are chosen. Prepare the attendees who want a turn, choose the no-repeat rule, and keep the remaining count visible. Random order is a facilitation choice, not a judgement about whose contribution matters most.

1. Agree on the rule before starting
Tell participants that each eligible entry has one chance and will be excluded after a turn. Check that the list contains each intended participant once. When two participants share a name, add a short distinguishing label rather than removing one as a duplicate.
2. Pick the next speaker, not a predetermined winner
Try the example or update the wheel with your own list, verify Remove winner, then spin. Read the winner announcement and invite that person to speak. Skip the animation when time is short; it reveals the already committed result.
3. Keep one consistent round
Continue until no entries remain. A new round makes everyone eligible again, whereas clearing history does not. If someone joins or leaves, explain the rule change before applying the revised list; the tool starts a fresh round rather than silently changing the current one.
What to expect

What the tool does not decide
Participation and accessibility are still the organizer’s responsibility. Agree on a pass or opt-out process with the group. Do not treat a random speaking order as permission to pressure someone to disclose personal information.
Next time you run this activity
Save the applied list with a meeting-specific title when this group meets again. Reusable lists do not contain past draws. Export an activity backup only when you need to resume the same round; it may include names and history.
